I’m Harshil Moradia. I live in Chicago City, where I code.
I’ve loved making things for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first program when I was 14, just after my dad brought home a brand new desktop computer. That moment opened a whole new world for me — from basic scripts to building websites, I was hooked.
As a kid, there were two things I loved more than anything else: space and food. I used to climb the storage closet to find the hidden stash of chocolates my parents thought they had safely tucked away. I also dearly missed my mom’s special recipes while at boarding school — her handmade sweets and spicy curries were unforgettable. Missing those flavors led me to experiment in the kitchen, and that’s how I unexpectedly fell in love with cooking.
My fascination with space was fueled by documentaries and news reports about astronauts heading to the International Space Station and rovers exploring the surface of Mars. Stories of Voyager 1 & 2, and NASA’s New Horizons reaching Pluto, left me in awe. I’d sit for hours imagining life beyond Earth, sketching space shuttle designs and reading about the physics behind orbital launches.
I studied at Swaminarayan Gurukul in Hyderabad, where I learned timeless values of discipline, compassion, and self-realization. The spiritual and cultural grounding I received there helped shape not just my work ethic but my entire perspective on life.
Today, I blend my love for technology, food, and the cosmos in unique ways. Whether I’m coding late into the night, cooking up something new, or stargazing from my rooftop, I’m always chasing that next spark of curiosity.
My dream? To build interactive tech experiences that inspire the next generation — whether it's a kid writing their first line of code or imagining a future among the stars.
